About

I'm a designer and creative strategist with a passion for finding smart, elegant solutions to complex problems. I enjoy crafting digital and physical experiences that are delightful to use as well as multi-channel campaigns that achieve results. As a creative manager, I take a servant-leader approach to help enable others to thrive and encourage their best ideas to flow.

After graduating from Oberlin College with a degree in English literature and studio art, I worked in the editorial design department of the Chicago Reader where I was first introduced to layout and typography. I continued my studies in advertising and design at MassArt in Boston, while also working at Talbots, designing and art directing lifestyle fashion catalogs. Continuing my retail adventure, I held a variety of roles at Nordstrom including art director, creative strategist, and design manager. I’ve also taken a deep dive into experiential and service design, creating tradeshow spaces for Lantern Press, a leader in the gift and souvenir industry. Recently, I led a small team at JCPenney transforming their in-store graphics to support a 1 billion dollar investment to reinvigorate this 100-year-old company.

When I’m not designing, I like to fix things around my house, cycle along Alki Beach, or make a quick watercolor sketch. I also play piano and write songs about my ruminations on life. Born and raised in Hawaii, I've been known to brave frigid Pacific Northwest waters for some surfing or paddleboarding, when the weather is warm.
